Folly is not always Folly, is the first of two volumes of Jane & D’Arcy, the true story of the enduring romance between Jane Austen and D’Arcy Wentworth, told from a Wentworth family perspective.

It is a history of their family connexions, their early lives and first meeting, their courtship and adventures. It ends in 1806, when Jane has moved to Southampton and D’Arcy is preparing to meet Captain Bligh, the new governor of New South Wales.
